I have been a Professional Photographer for nearly 25 years.

It's only after leaving the Royal Navy that I have had time to go get formal qualifications to evidence this Career and Level of Professionalism.

I currently hold : 

A First Class Honours Batchelor of Arts { Photography } from Hertfordshire University

A Foundation Degree in Photography from West Herts College

A BTEC Nat Dip {Double Distinction} completed in 14 weeks, it was supposed to be a two year course.!!

I have to say a Big Thank You to Dan Sosnowski who was at Dunstable College at the time, currently Teaching at Reading University, who organised that bespoke course for me prior to me leaving the services which allowed me to reach the Qualification Level to attend the other courses.  

I have experience in many different styles of work and genres, studio to location, from portraits to art nudes, landscapes to sport, working in a great many different studios and with a load of differing kit.

Nothing fazes me, after my time in the Armed Forces you learn to take things in your stride...... To Adapt, To Improvise, To Overcome, To Achieve. 

Fairness and Quality are something that are important to me, I'm a photographer not a businessman, I want to see good strong images, and people learning and improving, understanding and enjoying photography. 

My reputation is something that is hugely important to me, it is something I have worked really hard to establish.

I am known predominantly as an Art Nude Specialist, and Strong in Studio Practices.      

I work in a practical hands on manner, with very limited numbers to ensure everybody gets quality time and a chance to learn at their pace, with time to ask questions and work things out to their satisfaction and understanding, that's why I’m booked on a regular basis, and get repeat clients and societies after my classes.

I often have 1-2-1 days, or run model days where you can have the studio, tuition, model and a full hour or two to achieve some quality work. check the book your course page   

I currently live in Normandy and will be offering Residential Courses and Holidays.

The Gite is now up and running so I can offer residential courses in Landscapes and 1-2-1 studio practices, I have access to French Models and can book them for work if required, or you can bring one with you, there is separate accommodation available if needed.    

Courses can be organised at fairly short notice, with them being highly tailored to your learning and choice of work genre / model, taking into account your individual needs and experience, from absolute beginners to those wishing to learn more about studio kit and lighting tools and techniques, those wishing to explore new subjects / genre's , each course is individually tailored, also working with a subject / model and achieving strong images from a session that will help with a portfolio.
